Summer Reading Program

No. Our Summer Reading Program is one-on-one tutoring, not a group camp. Your child works individually with a trained reading tutor using a structured, evidence-based approach.

Families choose the schedule that works best for them. Most families schedule sessions three to five times per week over the summer to make as much progress as possible before the start of the new school year.

Yes. Most of our students attend summer camps or other activities and schedule tutoring before or after camp, or on non-camp days. Tutoring with Kids Up Reading Tutors fits around your child’s existing summer plans.

If your child is out of town or away at camp for a week, you simply pause tutoring that week and resume when they return. There are no penalties for planned breaks.

We work with students in grades 1–12, including children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other reading and spelling challenges.

Many families use summer tutoring with the goal of helping their child make significant progress before the new school year. While we cannot promise specific outcomes, summer is often the most effective time of year to address foundational reading skills.

Getting started begins with an introductory call with Daniela. We will talk through your child’s reading history, current concerns, and goals, and discuss whether our Summer Reading Program is a good fit. If it is, we'll move forward with a reading evaluation and help you choose a schedule that works for your family.
