I had to come back and provide an update. My daughter spent 3 months with the team at Kids Up Reading tutors. She has not only continued to maintain what was taught to her, but is now in first grade reading chapter books in her Spring Semester, nearly 6 months removed from her last session with the team. She is 1 of 2 kids selected to do special reading because they are ahead of their peers. She also scored in the 98th percentile in the Fast Bridge reading assessment. What a great investment in the future reading of my little girl. Couldn't be more proud of her and the work she put in and so thankful for the support of the team Daniela has put together and Kids Up Reading Tutors! A sincere and heartfelt THANK YOU!

We are so grateful for the support my 6th-grade daughter has received through this reading tutoring program. We live in Silver Spring, and the online sessions worked perfectly for our schedule. A huge THANK YOU to Kids Up Reading tutors, especially Micah! Our son is in the first grade and was well below reading level for several of his benchmarks at the beginning of school. He was put in a reading lab at school for extra help since kindergarten, but it did not help. I was at a loss of how to help him, it made my heart hurt. He was overwhelmed when it came to words, sentences, and stories. He was not confident and it showed during the day at school by some disruptive behavior. Mid year benchmark testing came and the results were awesome! He improved from well below reading level to below or at benchmark. His confidence has improved and he is READING now!! I had tears in my eyes when he read a sentence and looked at me and said 'I just read that by myself.' School behavior has improved as well. I was hesitant about online tutoring via zoom as he is in first grade, very antsy sitting for a period of time, and easily distracted BUT it works for him. He is in a groove with Micah and Micah is beyond patient with him. I would have NEVER been able to help my kiddo read the way that Kids Up Reading Tutors have broken it down for him and he understands it! It is really incredible and we are very appreciative. They are responsive and great at accommodating ever changing schedules with sports, clubs, and camps. I can sing their praise for days!

My daughter, who is a junior in high school just finished her sessions with Kids Up Reading Tutors and it was a tremendous help. Her tutor was great and worked with my daughter to get over the hills she was struggling with and catered the lesson plan for maximum comfort for my child. I would 100% recommend Kids Up Reading Tutors to anyone who has a child that is struggling with their reading.

Our son, who is in 1st grade in the DC area improved his reading and spelling skills significantly in a matter of weeks. He enjoyed each session, and it was very convenient to be able to do them virtually!

Our son goes to school in Alexandria, VA and started working with Kids Up Reading Tutors in 2nd grade after his standardized test results showed him behind grade level in reading. Reading has always been more challenging for him, but the tutors immediately made him feel comfortable and told him they would help make reading fun. Fast forward to now, he's a thriving 3rd grader, is now in the top reading group in his class, and is actually choosing to read books independently. We honestly could not be happier with our experience. The virtual format has worked really well for our son and helped us integrate it into our busy schedules. Overall, Kids Up is great and we'd recommend them to anyone.
