If your child is neurodivergent and struggling with reading or spelling, this one is worth a listen.
Daniela was recently a guest on the Every Brain is Different podcast with Samantha and Lauren, and they covered a lot of ground that parents of autistic and ADHD kids often ask about. They talked through the difference between dyslexia and dysgraphia, why so many kids with hidden struggles don't get identified until the older grades, and what parents can do right now as a first step.
Daniela also explained how Kids Up approaches tutoring: starting with a detailed skills evaluation rather than waiting on a diagnosis, and building from there with high-dosage, one-on-one tutoring sessions designed to help students catch up quickly and feel good about themselves in the process.
If you have a child whose brain works a little differently and reading has been a source of frustration, this conversation will give you some real clarity and a path forward.
Give it a listen and share it with a parent who needs to hear this.
